With more than 30 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level, Ron Boyce has proved to be one of the best in the nation. After a pair of volunteer stints with the sprint programs at Murray State and Tennessee State, Boyce began his long-time coaching career at Missouri State University as an Assistant Coach in 1995. At MSU, he was tasked with improving the team’s sprinters and hurdlers.
After proving his success as an assistant in his first two seasons, Boyce was promoted to Head Coach of the Missouri State Women’s track & Field program in 1997. In 1998, he added the men’s team to his coaching responsibilities, before the program was discontinued in 2005. In August of 2005, Boyce was named the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at Missouri State, where he successfully managed a very diverse program consisting of 44 student-athletes from seven different countries.

The base of sports like Soccer, Baseball and Football are often thought to be footwork, upper body strength and power. However, Boyce has been able to identify that while those components are important, all of those sports require a balance of speed and agility. Taking this understanding to helping various athletes.
